Cafe Vostro is Grover Beach’s best kept secret.  You have probably driven by it on the way to the beach.  It is located at 228 W Grand Ave just past 4th street and one block up from Highway 1.  Just had their cocunut shrimp and a side salad with chipotle ranch dressing.  It was fantastic!  Ken makes all if his food fresh everyday, no precooking.  Cafe Vostro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  You have to try it!

Power out, flooded roads, thunder, lightning… the whole bit. I was starting to think we’d never have a glimpse of a “real” winter again. The waves are huge and churning with debris and bits of ocean floor. Grover and Oceano Beaches are closed to vehicles. I’m sure many are disappointed, but safety first. Anyway, here’s a video of a vigorous Shell Beach just under Margo Dodd Park taken on the 19th.
